Grant Perryman was born to read. Reading empowered his imagination to travel around the world. In 7th grade Grant, wrote his first poem influenced by the legends of the Harlem Renaissance. He found his voice through the likes of Claude McKay, Langston Hughes and Nikki Giovanni to name a few. Grant's expanding repertoire includes Christian-based theatrical plays and editor of "Five Years to Life", a prison ministry newsletter.
He has published two children's books based on his work as Executive Director of Meaningful Life USA, a 501 c 3 nonprofit that drills fresh water wells, conducts medical missions, plants churches, and organizes leadership seminars in Ghana, West Africa. Grant’s genre is history and culture. His next book will be a historical fiction novel about his fourth great-grandfather, an African enslaved to a Native American. He is married to his wife of twenty years and has four adult children and one grandchild.
